Played At Oliva Nova On Tuesday 24th Of April 2018
On a beautiful morning we assembled 32 members to take part in a very enjoyable 2 man Texas Scramble. The course was just newly cut, and the greens were impeccable. We only had two guests today, and they were Paul and Alison Dumont.
In the competition the winners were as follows:-
1st Place with 69, was the team of Danny Herron and John Nicol .
2nd Place with 69 was the team of Paul Sankey and David Blakeley
3rd Place with 70 was the team of David O’Connor and Rob Westlands.
Nearest the pin at Hole No 5 was Danny Herron with 2.50 meters, and at hole 16, nearest the pin was Rob Westlands at 3.17 meters..
There were two 2’s today, one by Danny Herron and one by Peter Jackson..
The Balls in the Water prize was not guessed today as it was only 66, but in a card draw, Steve Patton was the winner.
Finally in the match play second round, third replay, John Evans sprung a surprise, by beating the much fancied Martin gates by 2 holes.
Terry Oram celebrated his birthday, by giving away two bottles of wine, which were won by Peter Jackson and David Phillips. Happy birthday to you Terry, and thanks for the great prize
