While the numbers were not ideal, with some adjustment between 3 man and 4 man teams, last weeks cancelled team joker went ahead with 3 teams of three and 2 teams of four on Tuesday 10th April. Again conditions were not ideal with an intermittent wind affecting the flight of the ball. Overcoming this problem – at least for two holes – was Rod Loveday, who claimed both nearest the pins.
Nearest the pin – Hole 2 and Hole 8, Rod Loveday. Third Place, John O`Brien, Rod Loveday, Henry Mellor, Barry Walthall – 94 points. Second Place, John Wilby, Maggi Edwards, David Swann, Mike Davies -98 points. First Place, Alan Janes, Brian Edwards, Lyn Young – 108 points.
If anyone would like to join our Society, we play at El Plantio Golf Club every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. We use both courses – the Par 3 nine hole course and the main 18 hole course, so we cater for all abilities. The membership rates are very competitive, so call for more details.
