Montgo Golf Societies first game of April was the Founders Day Trophy sponsored by Russ Peters. Players this week were obviously on better form as all six NTP prizes were awarded for effort rather than card draw. To be fair though the ever elusive 11th green was left out of the equation.
Galloping way ahead of the rest of the field our winner Gordon Gleeson came in with an impressive 41 points, thereby gaining a 1.5 cut. Our old friend countback decided the next four placings. On 37 each Ann Kitson took second place with Glenys Cuming in 3rd, while Tom Atkinson took 4th and Mick Farmer 5th both with 35.
The plethora of NTPs were awarded as follows: Shaun O´Gorman and new girl Ruth Strasser on the 3rd; Tom Atkins and Stella Fox on the 16th; Simon Fox in 2 on the 5th and finally Brian Redfearn in 2 on the 18th. Two coveted Montgo balls went to Stella Fox and Gerian Van Ooijen.
