On Friday 13 April, from 10.30am to 1.30pm, Happy Animales is organising a flea market and raffle at Restaurant Wolfies Bar in Blue Lagoon.
All the money they raise will be donated to the sanctuary in order to pay for the cost of supporting the 85 animals with food, hay, rent, water, repairs, blacksmith and vet bills.
Come along, may be you find a bargain and you will help the animals at the same time!
Finca Villamartin, (before Finca San Miguel de Salinas) is supported by non-profit charity, Happy Animales. The founder is Mona Nowak.
It currently looks after the welfare of 13 horses, 4 pigs, 9 goats, 13 geese, 27 cats, Donald and Daisy Duck, chickens, 2 ferrets, 2 dogs which need to be fed every day.
In February the charity rescued another horse and a goat, Biggi. The goat is now settled in a pen with the other 8 goats seems to have taken over! The white horse, named after Mona, is still not walking very well because her hooves were so long, the blacksmith has already paid her two visits.
So if you would like to help the charity to raise money, so that they can continue to take care of all their abandoned animals, please do go along!
They also organise an Open Day on every last Saturday of the month, the next one will be on Saturday 28 April from 1-5pm
