On Saturday 3rd March Maureen Payne, President of Age Concern Costa Blanca Sur, attended a meeting of the ADAPT Association in Lo Pagan.
This Association has two simple aims, the well-being of English speaking members and the integration of members, through the Association, into the wider Spanish Community.
Maureen gracefully accepted a cheque for 500e from Reme Ruiz, President of ADAPT. Maureen said afterwards that this generous donation to Age Concern will go a long way to maintaining all services the Charity provides for the support and welfare requirements of people of over 50 years old.
ADAPT raised the money through raffles and donations at their monthly social meetings. Reme congratulated Age Concern on reaching their 20th anniversary this year and reinforced the need for Charities and Associations to continue their good work having the answers, services and assistance for people when necessary.
