People with problems of drug addiction now have a drug information and advice centre in San Javier run by the organisation Proyecto Hombre Murcia.
The service operates from the Youth Centre, located on la avenida de la Aviación Española. The collaboration agreement with the City of San Javier will provide a municipal subsidy of 10,000 euros per year.
The mayor, José Miguel Luengo, and the president of Proyecto Hombre Murcia, Tomás Zamora, signed the agreement in the centre last Thursday.
The Councilor for Social Services and Youth, Estíbaliz Masegosa, who was also present at the signing of the agreement, explained that it is a service of care that will respond to the needs of people with addiction problems
Those interested in this service, which is offered free of charge, should call the Telephone number 968 28 00 34 and request an appointment in San Javier where they will be attended by the centre’s trained staff.
In addition to this service in San Javier, Proyecto Hombre will offer lectures, workshops and training in the field of prevention, for young people in schools, families, as well as training professionals in those areas related to all sorts of addictions, from drug addiction to gambling, as well as providing necessary support to health care and Social Services, to those people affected by addiction.
