A packed and appreciative audience greeted Cantabile Choir’s took on a Concert of Christmas Carols at La Siesta church on the 8th December with not a sight nor sound of Wenceslas, ‘Jingle Bells’ or ‘Hark the Herald’.
Indeed new M.D. Valerie Beange’s eclectic choice included numbers sung in Spanish and Swedish with the latter carol partly sung as a duet between a Danish and a Swedish member of the choir.
Obviously, the pronunciation for this was much superior to the other verses sung by the choir. The concert was held in aid of church funds with free entrance but a bucket collection, which raised over 200 Euros, was held.
