Last Saturday, 10th December, Paul Baxter from The Los Alcazares Scoots arranged a scooter rally to raise funds for the Elche Children’s Care Home.
Joined by our own volunteer accountant, Dave Diggle, they arrived at the Home to be met by the children who delighted in seeing and hearing about the Vespas and other vintage scooters.
Paul presented Assistant Director Fernando with 200 euros worth of Decathlon vouchers from monies they had raised. We would also like to say thank you to Vince Blacker and his wife Lisa (from Home-Tech UK Ltd.) – Vince joined the rally on Saturday and having met the children decided to make a donation to the home of 500 euros.
The group had a tour of the home and joined the kids for refreshments before setting off back to Los Alcazares where they were holding a night-time event at the Shamrock Lounge entertained by mod-band Paisley Express.
We would like to say a special thank you to Paul Baxter for taking the time and effort to organise this rally and raising a total of 700 euros for the children as a result of his hard work, and thanks to all the bikers who took the time come and support him including the santas from Cartagena Vespa Club.
