Sixty staff from Orihuela City Council are taking part in a two day training course where they are being updated on the Spanish law relating to a number recently introduced administrative procedures and their practical application.
These included provisions relating to the processing and storage of information that is gathered electronically together with public access points and the sharing of the information with other authorities.
The training was provided by the Diputación de Alicante and is aimed at two specific groups, the municipal technicians and council administrative staff.
In his introductory address Councillor Rafael Almagro said that the training was necessary to ensure that council staff employed by Orihuela have the very latest available information relating to the ever changing world of electronic data processing and storage..
