28 players including a few new members travelled to Riquelme to compete in a pairs better ball competition. The course was in excellent condition with very testing greens. We had the best weather of the week with everyone enjoying the day out regardless of scores.
There was disappointment that the healthy twos pot rolled over from President´s day was not won with tales of near misses to rival any fisherman.
As always we returned to the Blarneystone for the presentation where we were well looked after by Eamon, Gill and staff. Before the prizegiving a donation for €150 was made to Mick Gossage on behalf of the Royal British Legion for this year´s poppy appeal.
