Mark Stacey is very well known for his appearances on Flog it, Bargain Hunt, Antiques Road Trip and Put your money where your mouth is. Over 60 people received a valuation on their treasures and family heirlooms on Tuesday 8th November. The event proved so popular that it was carried over to the morning of Wednesday 9th November.
The very popular antiques TV personality Mark Stacey offered his services free of charge to raise money for the U3A Dénia’s good cause. The aim was to purchase a really lovely gift for each of the children who are resident at the children’s home in Dénia. The children are not orphans but have been taken into the care of the authorities for a variety of reasons.
The children are very well cared for and are happy healthy children but lack the little extras which their family members cannot always provide. The U3A Dénia aim to provide a special gift for each of the children and a shoe box full of smaller surprises every Christmas. The Mark Stacey event ensured that every child will receive a special present for the U3A’s own special Papa Noel when they have their Christmas party in December 2016.
