Torrevieja Handball Club Mare Nostrum, who play inthe 3rd tier of Spanish Handball, Primera Estatal Masculina, got their fourth win of the season in the municipal pavilion Cecilio Gallego on Saturday against Handball Club Ibiza, who arrived in town with only two points and two draws.
Despite falling behind to the Islanders in the 2nd period, as well as the exclusion of leading goalscorer Joaquin Lopez (8), a late scoring spell, as well as a mean Torrevieja defence, finally managed to close out the match with the score at 31-27 at the final whistle. Having now played 8 matches the win lifts Torrevieja up to 10th in the 16 team table.
