Next Thursday some buses around the Orihuela Costa, districts of Orihuela and to the Vega Baja Hospital will be absolutely free to passengers.
The announcement was made by the Orihuela Councillor for the Environment, Miguel Angel Fernandez, last Thursday and are amongst the activities that will take place in celebration of World Car Free Day on 22 September. They will involve selected buses operated by the carriers Riviera and Siguenza Orihuela Costa.
“We want to raise awareness through this initiative promoting the use of public transport to get reduce pollution more effectively”, said the councillor.
