Next Monday is one of the most important religious feasts in Spain, the Assumption, the bodily taking up of the Virgin Mary into Heaven at the end of her earthly life.
It will be celebrate in La Zenia with solemn mass at 7.30 pm which will be followed by a procession around the Virgin of Assumption Catholic church. Sure to be a spectacular affair the procession will be accompanied by music from the Union Musical Torrevejense and the very popular vocal quartet Cantus Colorus.
The whole event is being organised by the AIDOC Association with the procession getting underway immediately after the mass at approximately 8.30pm
