Roda 29th July 2016 – Our 7th game saw 26 players play at Roda, on a beautiful sunny day. Thank you to Roda for a great day out. We had 20 members and 6 Guests play. We added a extra Nearest the pin to the competition so every par 3 was something to play for. Hole 2 and 11 saw our colourful Steve Higgins win and Guest Andy Night won Hole 7 and our captain Simon Lee took hole 13. Each hole winning 12.50€ to spend in The Alehouse.
Thanks to our sponsor NTS Painting services. Our guest prizes were taken by Darren Temple 1st and Andy Night 2nd. Both taking home golf balls and wine. Simon Lee scooped the 2’s pot taking home 52€. 1st place with a handicap of 12, scored a fantastic 36 was captain Simon Lee collecting 60€, 2nd place on count-back was Colourful Steve Higgins also scoring 36, with his handicap of 11, collecting 40€. 3rd place was our lowest handicapped player on 1, Kevin Harmison , scored an impressive 35 points receiving 30€.
Our newest member Chris Belman received a bottle of wine, balls and a glove, all should help out on your next game Chris, after being our lowest scorer of the day, scoring 19 points.
Our next game is at La Marquesa on Friday 12th August. First Tee off 10:18. New and existing members or guests welcome, we mainly play every 2 weeks on a Friday with the occasional Sunday, we pay out cash prizes to our members and beer vouchers to the nearest the pins if you wish to join or play on this fantastic society please pop into The Alehouse.
