Summer Cup- round two, a return to the difficult Villamartin course saw 16 players mount their challenge for the Summer Cup in very draining weather conditions.
Although the course was in excellent order, some of us found it had been a waste of time getting up in the dark to arrive for the early start time.
Others, however, revelled in the experience, and several excellent scores were recorded.
Winner in the gold category was Alan Craig with 33 points, but outdoing her better half in the silver category was Elspeth Craig with 38 points, on countback from Sarah Mccabe.
Only two nearest the pin prizes were won, by Barry Thorogood and guest Paul Brown.
No twos so this pot will be carried forward.
The next round of this competition will be on Thursday 4th august at Vistabella, first tee at 0936 at a cost of 36 euros. The list is on the board at the la marina club or contact Alan on 100ac@yahoo.co.uk.
